Hong Phung VO: Eurofins Where your dreams are given wings
When working with customers, we realize that not all people understand the food testing industry, many people do not know what steps it would take to generate a reliable testing report. We also saw that some customers get angry because we request to resend samples as the samples sent to our lab were not in good condition that would impact the reliability of the testing result.
Through this “Eurofins People & Occupation” series, we would like to tell more about our people who have been working dedicated to supporting our valued customers. Thanks to the stories shared by our people, we hope that our customers will have a better understanding of our job, our procedure as well as what we have been doing relentlessly to improve our service quality.
Graduated from Nong Lam University (Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry), majoring in Agricultural Product Processing, Preservation and Food Microbiology, the girl with a pretty and sunshine smile, Vo Hong Phung chose Eurofins as a launching pad to reach her life goals.
Eurofins – The first turning point of my career path
When being asked how Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang has "attracted" her, Hong Phung VO, 28 years old, said that she had known Eurofins since she was still a student of Nong Lam University. Due to the nature of her major, she needed to find information related to the testing service of Eurofins which inspired her to come to "a close relationship" with Eurofins later on.
After completing 4 years of study with the major in Agricultural Product Processing and Food Microbiology, with the knowledge she learned, Phung chose Eurofins as the first turning point of her career path and she has been always considering Eurofins as her second home.
At Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang, Phung chose ASM Department (Analytical Service Management), responsible for controlling results and sending results to the client, this department can be considered as the bridge between the client and the company. After the testing results are available, the ASM department will be responsible for communicating with clients and answering questions related to the results, analytical techniques as well as studying and consulting about current regulations and laws, applicable to the type of sample submitted by the clients for testing. As for Phung, her main job is a "Reporter" specializing in assisting in synthesizing results from the laboratory to make a completed Testing Report and control the results for other “ASMs” who are responsible for sending results to our clients.
Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang - a place with favorable conditions for her career development
Up to now, the relationship between Phung and Eurofins has been being for more than 3 years. When being asked why she had chosen and staying with Eurofins for such a relatively long time, Phung immediately laughed and said, "because Eurofins is a place with many favorable conditions to me"
To explain that answer, Phung shared that she has many advantages when working at Eurofins Sac Ky Hai Dang. Firstly, the daily task she has been performing here is suitable with the knowledge and skills she has studied at the university, so she did not have too much trouble starting work here. Secondly, the company is quite close to her home, so it is very convenient to go to work every day. Moreover, Phung found that Eurofins to be a very good working environment, having a professional working culture; colleagues are very friendly and sociable; the job also offers many opportunities for her to learn and develop her knowledge and skills further.
Eurofins – where it gives wings to your dreams
When being asked about difficulties she may face at work, Phung was very quick to reply that due to the nature of the industry, it is critical to understand clearly a lot of food safety regulations related to export, product public declaration regulations, national technical regulation/ standards,…etc... Considering the large number of clients of Eurofins, with various requirements that make you remember, process multiple information and tasks simultaneously. Thanks to these challenging tasks, you would have so many opportunities to learn new things, always update new regulations and standards to meet requirements and support clients better day by day.
“I feel that I still have a lot to learn to become a good ASM, and I strongly believe that in the near future, I will become an excellent ASM and provide the best service to our valuable customers” – Phung said
Phung also confides that she loves her job. She always considers Eurofins as the place that gives wings to her dreams. She has had numerous opportunities and favorable conditions to learn and prepare for her plan here. Besides, Phung also realized that her job is so meaningful as she has contributed her humble contribution to society, deliver safer and high-quality products to society and indirectly protect people's health. During performing her daily tasks, Phung has helped many clients to improve quality and create more nutritional products which is also the strong motivator that helps her to overcome the pressure to stay and grow at Eurofins.
