Functional food is a product that contains many complex active ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, enzymes, probiotics ..., which directly affect the health of users so needs to be tested according to regulations. Therefore, functional foods tested at good functional food testing centers will be an important basis for production units to apply for operating licenses and build trust for customers.
According to Circular No. 19/2012 / TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health issued on November 9, 2012, functional food production establishments must tests every 2 years for products not yet certified. Therefore, based on this Circular, to ensure proper business activities, production units must conduct product testing at reputable functional food testing centers to complete procedures licensing and maintaining operations.

Process of functional food testing

The active ingredients have the main effect of making use of the product, but the testing units in the country can test, the main active ingredient must be quantified in the product.
The main active ingredients that domestic testing units do not yet have testing methods and standard samples for quantitative testing may require the announcement of the content of ingredients containing the main active ingredients in the published dossiers.
